I felt very beautiful in this dress, and it was quite flattering. I got so many compliments and may have sold some Betsy and Adam dresses to my friends whose children are also getting married! It's a slimming design and a gorgeous color (I got the Pine). Beware the slit goes high so any shapewear you get needs to have a short leg (or you can hike it up on the left side like I did. I am 6' feet tall and the length was still perfect with my 4 inch heels (the dress train was still slightly touching the ground!) but if you aren't as tall you'll likely need to get it shortened. All in all a perfect dress for me or any of you other Rebecca Walton, Rubenesque size ladies. I am usually a 14 and did fit into the 14, but it was very snug especially around my armpits. I chose to go with a more comfortable fit in the 16.

Classically Beautiful Dress
I bought this dress for a Marine Corps Birthday Ball. The color (Bordeaux) is stunning. The fit suited my athletic build wonderfully. And this dress came out of the box wrinkle-free! (Huge bonus when it needed to travel over 7000 miles.) The quality is evident and Betsy & Adam will be my go-to in the future.

I ordered this beautiful dress from the U.S. to be delivered to the U.K., and the entire process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free — a rare delight when ordering internationally!
I’m 5ft 5in and 10st 11lbs, and I ordered a size USA 12/UK 14. I would say it fits more like a UK 12, so it definitely runs a little small — something to keep in mind when choosing your size. Despite that, the fit is absolutely lovely and flattering in all the right places.
The dress itself is everything I hoped for: smart, timeless, and classic. I haven’t worn it yet for the big occasion — my daughter’s wedding day — but I already know it will be perfect. I plan to pair it with a pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings for a sophisticated and elegant look.
I’ll be having the hem taken up by 2–3 inches by a dressmaker, but that’s a small adjustment for such a beautiful piece.
I would give this dress 10 stars if I could and recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for helping me find something so special for such an important day!
