How to Measure

For best results when measuring, use a soft measuring tape and make sure to not measure too tight to the body.

Bust

Measure loosely around your body overlapping the fullest part of your bust.

Waist

Measure the middle/narrowest part of your waist.

Hips

Measure around the widest part of your hips for the hip measurement. This is generally around 8" below your waist. 

High Point Shoulder (HPS)

To measure high point shoulder length for the length of a dress, place the measuring tape at the highest point of the shoulder near the base of the neck. Extend the tape straight down over the chest and stomach to the desired length, such as the knee, calf, or ankle, depending on your preference for the dress length.

Simply beautiful!

My daughter needed a burgundy dress for a wedding and this one is perfect! She ordered an 8 and it fits her perfectly and she doesn’t even need to get it altered. Yay! Thank you B&A for offering it in so many colors! It’s a beautiful dress, well made and quality material.

Glam and chic for us curvy gals!

This dress is even more gorgeous in real life! I’m 5’8 and the length is perfect with a moderately high heel (FYI I opted for sparkly, strappy gold heels/clutch/earrings and they look fabulous). I took other reviewers’ advice that the sizing runs a bit small, so I used my measurements and ordered based on my most generous curves. Going a size up meant it’s exactly right and doesn’t need a single alteration. Best of all, as an athletic, middle-aged woman with a “rectangle” body type, the scuba crepe fabric and the ruching and ruffles create a beautiful, feminine silhouette that feels glamorous, without being fussy. It’s comfortable too, and packs well for travel without wrinkling. 10/10.
