"Jordan" Short Scuba Crape Draped Back Dress

The material is a lot heavier than expected.

First, I would like to say THANK YOU, Betsy & Adam for such great style and impeccable quality at an affordable price! I bought this dress in black and in red through a retailer because I feel fabulous in it. This dress looks as good on my not so perfect figure as it does on the very thin models. The drape in the front hides imperfections and does NOT accentuate them. The material has a stretch to it. At 5 ft 9-1/2", a size 14 length will be mid knee. This dress is true to size. If you buy too large of a size, it will slide down your shoulders because the dress sleeves lay mid way from neck to shoulder's edge, giving an elegant look. If you look good in a boat neck top, you will be outstanding in this dress. It is zippered on the back. Step into the dress to put it on without getting tangled in the cape. Yes, funny experience! The arm holes will feel small because of the cape but keep going, they are perfectly comfortable once the dress is on and zipped up on the back. The dress is lined, as are all quality dresses, making it feel warm, so this is not appropriate for an outdoor event in the extreme heat of mid August in Florida. The quality of the material and construction is superior. I agree with a few other reviews that a rich, dark blue or a deep, regal royal blue would be outstanding in this dress. Great design, quality and choice of materials. Highly recommend!

I saw this style/dress in a Netflix series and thought, “Now that’s a dress!” I fell in love with it! I had no idea where to get it but through online searching, I found it! Not in black, like I saw on Netflix, but the red is gorgeous! Beautiful jewel-toned red, not too orange-red. Not Xmas-red either. It’s such an elegant dress that I’ve worn it to 2 weddings and received so many compliments. I’ll probably wear it for Christmas this year too! You do need to be careful with wearing jewelry or a brooch because the fabric will snag. I wore a diamond-studded brooch to the 2nd wedding & snagged it. I was able to pull the threads on the inside of the dress, thank goodness! For info. I’m 145lbs & 5’ tall with a 38D chest. Going by the size chart, I bought 2 sizes to try on. I also have broad shoulders and this dress didn’t emphasize them, thanks to the cape-like sleeves! I had the hem picked up because it was too long but with my height, that’s what I have to do with all the dresses I buy. I took a shawl with me to the one wedding in Estes Park, CO & that helped since you really can’t wear a blazer or sweater with this dress. It will ruin the style/look of the dress. It does have a lot of ruching, that if you get the dress too big, the ruching sort of hangs on you and can look droopy & sloppy. I kept the 10, returned the 12, but could have gone with a size 8. Only thing I didn’t care for was the neckline. I prefer a V-neck but because of the ruching neck-to-hip, I don’t think a v-neck would work with this style. I would love to buy this dress in black, or in a deep dark blue. We’ll worth the money.

This dress is beautiful and well made. It even looks good on the hanger. I tried it on the day I got it, I just felt classy and elegant along with sexy. The Blush color is soft looking and I paired it up with nude heels. I am 5'3 and 121 lbs with an athletic built. I ordered size 4, I had to have it taken in from my lower waist down. I was worried if I exchanged for the 2, then might be to tight across my shoulders. You won't be disappointed if you order this dress.
